According to the City Management Bureau of Yinzhou District, Yinzhou this year is going to renovate the 6 million square meters of green belts in the New Town to cut down carbon consumption.
So far, the project has been initiated in 80 places in the New Town. In such important places as Yinzhou Park, Yinxian Road and Yinzhou Road, vertical greening and greening of waters will be done. In such important places as Qianhe Road, Qianhu Road and Siming Road, more green belts will be built so as to maximize the ecological efficiency.
According to Gardening and Afforestation Administration of Yinzhou, the district this year will improve the green belts, to make them more natural and more capable of absorbing carbon dioxide. In the mean while, the maintenance of the green belts will be renovated so that it is more energy saving and environmental friendly. Energy saving lamps have been installed in Yinzhou Park and Yinzhou Cultural Park, saving power by 80%. In addition, the fallen leaves will be fully recycled and used in gardening as fertilizer. |
